Launch field setup starts at 8:15am, launches start at approximately 10:30am. There is a mandatory safety meeting for ALL personnel at 10:00am.


Do not arrive at the field prior to 8:00am.

LAUNCH INFORMATION

Information concerning the TBRA night launch events.

​​​​TBRA reserves the right to cancel a scheduled launch without notice if the KDBI Drought Index rises to 600 or more. If the index is above 400, Sparky motors will NOT be permitted.

All launch events are conducted as Tripoli Research Launches, and follow Tripoli procedures and safety codes.


We have an approved FAA Certificate of Authorization to 8,000 feet above Ground Level (AGL), or 8,100 feet above Mean Sea Level (MSL). Recommended ceiling is 6,000 feet AGL. Do not attempt a flight that may reach within 1,000 feet of the FAA Authorized ceiling without prior approval from the Prefect and the RSO. 


​All flight's over 4,000 feet are required to be dual recovery flights, utilizing an on-board altimeter or a Jolly Logic Chute Release.


The launch site is within 5 miles of the Brooksville airport, within Class D airspace. All drone operations are prohibited without specific FAA approval thru either LAANC or FAADroneZone IAW 14 CFR Chapter 1, Subparagh F Part 107, and USC 49, section 44809.

All flyers over the age of eighteen (18) must be a member of the Tripoli Rocketry Association and/or the National Association of Rocketry.
