TBRA Membership
Student group fliers are exempt from this requirement with the exception of the Group Leader and/or Flier of Record.
Minor fliers are not charged a membership fee if the minor is the only flier but must have a signed Minor Release of Liability.
Yearly dues are $40.00 for individuals or $50.00 for families, these fees cover administrative costs as well as equipment purchase and maintenance.
There is also a daily flight fee of $20.00 which covers the costs to the landowner for the use of the property. We have reduced flight fees for groups, please contact us in advance.
New members may complete the application on the field, or download it, complete and bring it to the next launch along with the Release of Liability. Please note, at this time we are not able to accept checks or credit cards for membership payment.
Membership in the Tampa Bay Rocketry Association does not provide individual insurance, nor does it imply any assumption of liability.
Membership in TBRA is required to participate in our launch events with the following exceptions:
Spectators are not required to join TBRA in order to attend a launch event, but are required to read and sign the TBRA Release of Liability.
Membership form may be downloaded and presented at a launch event.
The Tripoli Rocketry Association is one of the two national organizations that establish the safety procedures model and high power rocketry.
The National Association of Rocketry is one of the two national organizations that establish the safety procedures for model and high power rocketry.
All adults attending a TBRA launch event must read and sign the Release of Liability. Parental permission is required for all minor participants..
