​The Tripoli Rocketry Association

TBRA is chartered as Prefecture 17 of the Tripoli Rocketry Association. TRA is a non-profit organization dedicated to safety, education, and the advancement and operation of experimental amateur high-power rocketry. TRA was founded in 1964, TRA has expanded internationally, with Prefectures in many different countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, israel, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

TRA provides insurance for organized launch events, and also organizes national and international rocketry events such as LDRS (Large Dangerous Rocket Ships) and BALLS- the premiere experimental rocket launch event in the United States. Learn more at www.tripoli.org   

TRA performs testing and certification of commercial rocket motors, and administers a certification program for high-power rockets. TRA also encourages rocket motor research, construction, and use certain members with a high-power certification level of 2 or 3.
